Referral and Affiliation Disclosure

QuoteHero works for you, and the people who pay us are our customers. This page lists every way that could be different, so you can judge our advice for yourself.

Who never pays us

We take no money, ever, from:

• car dealers
• real estate agents or brokers
• mortgage lenders
• title and closing companies
• appraisers
• insurance companies or agents

Minnesota law doesn't allow real estate licensees to pay referral fees to people who aren't licensed, and federal law (RESPA) bars referral fees for most mortgage settlement services. We'd turn them down anyway.

Home-project businesses

We don't take referral fees from contractors or other home-project businesses. If that ever changes, every report that includes a business that pays us will say so, and payment will never change how we rank the options.

Businesses we own

Cris, who runs QuoteHero, also owns Express Mounting, which mounts TVs and pictures. If a report includes Express Mounting, it says so plainly, and the report always gives you at least one other option.
