The short version
- We collect only what we need to answer your requests.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- Businesses only hear from QuoteHero. We don't give them your name, address, or phone number without your OK.
- We never ask for your Social Security number, driver's license number, or full card number.
- You can delete your account and your data at any time.
What we collect

What we never collect
We never ask for Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, full card numbers, bank account numbers, or credit applications. For a car request, your trade-in's VIN is fine.
How we use it
- To work your requests: research, contacting businesses, and writing your report.
- To keep you posted by email, and by text if you opt in.
- To run, secure, and improve QuoteHero.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Businesses we contact for you get the details of the job, not your name, address, or phone number, unless you OK it.
- Companies that run parts of QuoteHero for us, only so they can do that job:
- Netlify: hosting and file storage
- Neon: our database
- Anthropic: powers Odin
- Resend: email
- Twilio: text messages, only if you opt in
- Stripe: payments
- PostHog: site analytics
- Sentry: error reports
- Cal.com: booking calls
- When the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and, through PostHog, to count visits and see how pages are used. We don't use advertising cookies.
Text messages
We only text you if you opt in. Reply STOP to any message to stop. Message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and your Odin conversations within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records. [TO CONFIRM: which records and for how long.] Backups roll off within 30 days.
Your choices
You can see, correct, or delete your information from your account, or by emailing us. You can ask for a copy of it too.
Children
QuoteHero is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
Your data is stored with the providers above and encrypted in transit. Only the QuoteHero team can see your requests, and every request is checked on our servers so customers only ever see their own.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in your account before it takes effect.
